Man wanted over alleged abduction of ex

Laura PondStirling Times

A WOMAN has allegedly been abducted by her ex-boyfriend in a terrifying ordeal where she was driven through suburban streets with half her body dangling outside the car.

Police believe the suspect grabbed the 25-year-old Kinross woman as she was leaving a unit on Herbert Street in Doubleview on Friday night at about 10.30pm.

They say he pulled her into his car and drove away with her on his lap and her legs hanging from the vehicle’s open driver’s side door.

She managed to break free several streets away after he threw the woman’s phone out of the car but he was able to restrain her again and continue driving.

Three men saw the car as it travelled on to Duke Street and the driver finally stopped on Rockliff Avenue in Karrinyup, where they both got out.

The victim saw people nearby and told them to call police so the man returned to the vehicle.

He drove slowly behind the woman as she walked down the road and parked with the car lights off, before driving away.

The woman and a witness flagged down a City of Stirling ranger, who alerted police.

Mirrabooka Detectives are investigating and want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the vehicle.
