Mirrabooka: police searching for man who claimed to be armed before assaulting and stealing from other man

A MAN who assaulted and stole from a victim on February 21 in Mirrabooka claimed he was carrying a gun, police allege.

Mirrabooka Detectives are investigating the incident that occurred about 4.30pm at Fragrant Gardens Reserve as the victim walked from a nearby shopping centre.

The man stated to the victim that he was armed with a gun while assaulting the victim and demanding the victim hand over his necklace and money.

The man is described tanned, medium build, 22-27 years of age with black hair and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a black shirt and black and red shorts.

He is described as having tattoos of spikes and circles across his neck and throat with tattoos on both upper arms.

Police have released an identikit image (below) of a man who they believe can assist them.
