It is calling on residents to take gifts to its Osborne Park office where they will be distributed at its Christmas Lunch in the Park (CLIP) or to buy them online at: https://www.missionaustralia.com.au/christmaslunch.
Mission Australia State Director Melissa Perry said all contributions would help cover the cost of making Christmas Day a special one for up to 2000 people who might be isolated or lonely.
‘Our lunch is open to people from all walks of life ” it’s about bringing the community together to celebrate the Christmas spirit.’
This year’s ‘face’ of Christmas Lunch in the Park, single mother Shannon Martin from High Wycombe, has been bringing her three boys to the lunch for the past three years.
‘Christmas Lunch in the Park is my gift to my boys to make sure they have a wonderful day and experience the joy of Christmas Day,’ Ms Martin said.
‘It’s great to be able to share the day with so many different people.’
