Motorcyclist injured, truck on fire and car flips in horror afternoon on Perth roads

ONE person has been taken to hospital after a horror crash on the Mitchell Freeway early this afternoon.

A car flipped onto its roof near Powis Street in Glendalough just after 12pm.

Two St John Ambulance units attended the scene and one person was treated by the side.

That person was later taken to Royal Perth Hospital under priority conditions.

A light pole was also knocked over in the incident.

Drivers should avoid the area.

Leach Highway is also crawling this afternoon, with the left and centre lanes blocked westbound at Carrington Street in Fremantle.

In yet another crash, police and St John Ambulance are at the scene of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Stirling Highway.

The crash took place near the Walter Street intersection in Claremont at 1.30pm.

Police say the motorcyclist was injured.
