YEAR 6 students have left their mark at Doubleview Primary School.
The year group’s parting gift was a colourful mural designed by the students and painted by artist Nat Poli.
Deputy principal Suzanne Clanton said the mural was based on the You Can Do It program and the school’s values of resilience, persistence, confidence, organisation and getting along.
“We raised just under $2000 for the mural,” Mrs Clanton said.
“It was just a brick wall before this, now it’s a talking point.
“It probably took about three weeks all up to complete.”
Mrs Clanton said they also applied an anti-graffiti coat to the mural after a handful of graffiti incidents at the school.
Parent helper Taryn Richards said the artwork added a lot of energy to the space.
“Everyone comments on it now,” Ms Richards said.
