MYVISTA aged care services in Balcatta recently hosted a lunch to celebrate staff member Stanka Cica being a finalist in the HESTA Aged Care Awards.

Stanka was the only West Australian finalist in the Individual Distinction category that was won by Victorian Camille Koch.

The Activity coordinator at MYVISTA is fluent in four languages and was nominated for her contribution to improving the lives of residents.

MYVISTA chief executive Irene Mooney and Chairman Tony Vallelonga attended the awards night in Canberra with Stanka and her husband on August 4.

“Often aged care staff are so busy doing the caring and making a difference, they don’t stop to reflect on or celebrate what they achieve each and every day,” Irene said.

“So the HESTA Aged Care Awards was a wonderful way to pay tribute to Stanka and also her team, who collectively work together to improve residents lives.”
