OSBORNE PARK women are extending themselves at Main Street’s newest addition, Xtend Barre pilates studio that opened on June 4.
Xtend Barre is a workout that combines the ballet training with the principles of strength and safety in Pilates at the ballet barre.
Best friends and co-owners Kristel Maltese and Katie Houlahan opened their first studio in Floreat in November 2014 and to date, have an average of 175 clients a month.
With classes bursting at the seams, the duo decided to open a studio in Osborne Park with 18 instructors to accommodate for existing and new clients.
Ms Houlahan said she has always had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition.
“At the studio, I get to share my passion with people of all ages, gender and fitness backgrounds,” she said.
“Opening this boutique studio with my best friend Kristel was an easy decision.
“We both feel so strong and energetic since starting Xtend and wanted to share this with others.”
