New seniors walking group set to stroll round The Square in Mirrabooka

SENIORS will get the chance to strut their stuff with a new walking group to be launched in Mirrabooka on July 27.

Council on the Ageing WA (COTA) mall walking is a free fitness activity that caters for all ages and abilities.

COTA walkers join the group for a warm up and safe stretches led by walk leaders.

Walkers then walk at their own pace in the safe, indoor environment of The Square, before cooling down and heading for coffee and a chat with both new friends and old.

The inaugural walk will be meeting at the Coles entrance of The Square on Chesterfield Road at 8am on Wednesday July 27.

Mirrabooka MLA Janine Freeman will launch the service at the information desk from 9am with refreshments provided.

RSVP to COTA on 9472 0104.
