Master of Ceremonies Adam Spagnolo said 400 members of the Southern Italian community packed the venue on February 20 to watch performer Severino Pasqualino as his famous character Nonna Cata.
“This was Nona Cata’s first performance in WA and was well received by residents who enjoyed a dinner and show, and of course lots of laughs,” he said.
“Severino Pasqualino created the character of Nonna Cata in the 1980s when working in a Calabria radio show, where he mimicked voices.
