CANCER touches so many lives but for Lindy Kerr, Daffodil Day is filled with hope.

The North Beach resident is again volunteering for Cancer Council WA’s annual Daffodil Day fundraiser on Friday, August 24.

“Daffodil Day doesn’t discriminate against different types of cancers,” she said.

The money ultimately goes towards supporting people who are affected and their families.

“I have a lot of friends and family who have been touched by cancer.”

Mrs Kerr described the atmosphere on the day as electric.

“Daffodil Day is one of the most enjoyable things I do each year,” she said.

“Everyone is so generous and they often stop to chat to you because everyone has a story.

“I go home from Daffodil Day feeling good about myself knowing that I’ve done something to help the community.”

She is encouraging others to be part of the day, either by becoming a volunteer or making a donation.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Daffodil Day.
