North Beach: team of Our Lady of Grace students win Tournament of Minds Australasian Pacific final

STUDENTS from a North Beach school are among the brightest minds in Australasia.

A team of seven Year 5 and 6 Our Lady of Grace School students won the science technology primary category at the Tournament of Minds Australasian Pacific finals in Adelaide.

They beat schools from around Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Thailand with their creative and scientific solutions to challenges.

Facilitator Lisa Meyers said she was proud of the students, including a second team that competed in the social science category.

“The team showed great spirit and resilience under pressure and represented their school and state honourably,” she said.

The students won the State finals before making it to the international competition.
