Osborne Park bosses to rough it in CEO Sleepout for homeless

Kate LeaverStirling Times

TWO Osborne Park chief executives will be sleeping out in the cold this Thursday for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society annual CEO Sleepout.

Carbon Business Group Osborne Park directors Jamie Davison and Nathan Hood said it was important to raise awareness and support for the Society, as currently there were more than 100,000 homeless people in Australia.

Mr Davison said he was surprised to learn more than 60 per cent of homeless people are under the age of 35.

“The majority of our team at Carbon are under 35 and for the most part have had relatively good upbringings, so it reminds us how lucky we are and we would like to take the opportunity to raise awareness to change the situation for these people suffering,” he said.
