BUSINESSES in the Osborne Park industrial area have continued to be targeted on weekends, according to Scarborough police.
Senior Sergeant Glenn Dowding said four burglaries occurred on Guthrie Street over the weekend and police had been holding vehicle stops in the area.
“Police will be conducting regular patrols of the area after many burglaries and attempted burglaries of businesses,” he said.
“I would advise that business owners do not leave any valuables on site and always update security systems.”
Thieves rammed the roller door of an Osborne Park business with a car on July 24 in an attempt to gain entry.
Sgt Dowding said the person was unable to gain entry.
“It is not known if anything was stolen yet,” he said.
