St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School students Caitlin Beattie and Basundhara Dutta were finalists for the 25th annual award.

Paige said she planned to study Actuarial Science and-or Business Law.

“I am passionate about more females studying math and science,” she said.

“The male domination in some professions can only be eliminated by more women entering these fields.

“This needs to be encouraged by mentoring, quotas and scholarships.”

The Zonta Club of PNS meets on the first Wednesday of the month at Rendezvous, Scarborough.
