Pedestrian dead after Scarborough car accident

A 29-year-old Scarborough man is dead after he was hit by a car on Saturday night.

Major Crash officers are investigating the fatal traffic crash on Stanley Street which happened about 8pm.

A white VW Jetta, driven by an 18-year-old man from Churchlands, collided with the 29-year-old pedestrian from Scarborough, who was on the carriageway.

St John Ambulance took the man to Royal Perth Hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Officers from Major Crash are seeking witnesses who may have seen the VW Jetta or the pedestrian in the Scarborough area in the evening on December 22 to call Crime Stoppers onĀ 1800 333 000.
