Pedestrian dead after Scarborough car accident

A 29-year-old Scarborough man is dead after he was hit by a car on Saturday night.

Major Crash officers are investigating the fatal traffic crash on Stanley Street which happened about 8pm.

A white VW Jetta, driven by an 18-year-old man from Churchlands, collided with the 29-year-old pedestrian from Scarborough, who was on the carriageway.

St John Ambulance took the man to Royal Perth Hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
