Perth child genius makes TV debut

A GWELUP boy is set to show his smarts on TVs across the country.

Aidan Kwa (10) will feature in SBS TV show Child Genius Australia, which screens from November 20.

The Hale School student was among 16 of Australia’s brightest eight to 12-year-olds chosen to be part of the four-part documentary competition overseen by Australian Mensa.

Aidan is a Mensa member with an estimated IQ of more than 140 and is described as a lover of facts, voracious reader and loves building Lego.

He started speaking when he was 10 months old and by age one, could recognise letters of the alphabet.

Academic and author Susan Carland returns as host and said there were more “surprising and staggering performances” from participants.
