The man, who asked not to be named, said the men were “evil” in a powerful statement released on behalf of his family.

“The pictures of our injuries would shock and be too horrific for TV,” he said.

“Me, my mother and father were all bloodied up. I lost a tooth and had the sharp side of an axe penetrate to the bone of my shin amongst other injuries.

“Till this day, the room spins when I lie down and sit back up from being hit repeatedly on the head with the blunt side of an axe.

“As for my father, he went for the second time to emergency in the hospital because he had nerve pain from the head going down to his arm. These people are evil.”

He described the men hitting his 54-year-old mother in the head multiple times with enough force for stitches.

“Whether or not you’re old or a woman. They have no empathy of what pain to other people is,” he added.

“Getting hit with an axe, bottle, punches and kicks like you are sub-human. One of them asked if we had a stereo so he can turn up the music.

“We have no involvement in vendettas, drugs, other crimes or even private debts.”

Mirrabooka Detectives are investigating the attack and appealing for public help to find the men responsible.

The horrifying incident happened about 4pm on June 6, when the victim – a man in his 30s – returned to his Frape Street home.

Two men were waiting inside the house. They men assaulted the victim with what police described as “blunt weapons” before binding his hands and mouth.

During this time the men demanded money and property from the victim.

Approximately 30 minutes later the victim’s parents, who are in their 50s, returned home and were also assaulted by the men.

A short time later, a third man entered the house with an angle grinder and threatened to cut off one of the victim’s fingers.

They eventually left the house in possession of jewellery belonging to the victims as well as an amount of cash.

The victims were all taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance with injuries to their head and body, including lacerations, bruising and swelling.

Detectives were able to locate CCTV from the area which shows three men walking in the area prior to the incident as well as a Grey 2009 Toyota Corolla.

Investigations revealed that the car was stolen from East Victoria Park prior to the attack.
