DOUBLEVIEW firefighter Luke Sampey is turning up the heat as Mr November as part of the annual Perth Firefighters calendar.
Sampey joined 14 fellow firefighters in the calendar, which raises funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation burns unit.
Sampey, who is based at Ellenbrook Fire Station, said the chance to take part in the calendar was an offer too good to turn down, all while supporting a fantastic cause.
“It’s a fun way to give back to the community, I think all children should have every opportunity to have a fantastic and healthy life and it’s very rewarding to be able to contribute to that,” he said.
Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation chief executive Denys Pearce said all proceeds from the calendar would go towards supporting vital research and equipment at the hospital’s burns unit, which treats thousands of children from across WA each year.
“Over the past nine years our partnership with the Perth Firefighters Calendar has helped raise more than $850,000, which is a huge success and testament to the passion and commitment that the firefighters have for supporting children,” he said.
The calendar is now available for $15 from the Volunteer’s Kiosk at PMH, or online at https://pchf.org.au.
