Perth restaurant giving back at Christmas with free meals

AN Inglewood restaurant is sharing the Christmas spirit by offering free meals.

Family-run Indian restaurant Chakra, on Beaufort Street, will again serve up a free meal with soft drink on Christmas Eve.

Organiser Sonia Pathak said they thoroughly enjoyed last year’s inaugural initiative and wanted to again celebrate the festive season with the community.

“(The event) is one of the ways of giving back to the community and we strongly believe that everyone should be able to celebrate the festival with the same enthusiasm and festive food,” she said.
