NEARLY 60 music students from Carine Senior High School have returned after performing at an international festival in New Zealand.

The 57 students from years 8 to 12 were part of youth music festival Rhapsody Roturua last month.

Students were from the school’s senior concert band, orchestra, jazz band, senior choir and senior contemporary band.

They enjoyed specialist workshops by New Zealand’s top musical educators and performed at local primary schools and at a live streamed public performance.

The school won four gold and a silver medal at the competition, the most gold of any school.
