Perth traffic: lights restored in Doubleview, Scarborough; part of Hepburn Avenue still closed after crash

UPDATE: Three traffic lights at intersections in Scarborough/Doubleview have been restored.

EARLIER: DRIVERS are urged to be cautious in both the Doubleview/Scarborough area and along Hepburn Avenue after separate incidents.

The left lane of Hepburn Avenue eastbound – from Marangaroo Drive to Bellefin Drive – remains closed after a crash overnight that left a man fighting for his life.

The man crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Hepburn Avenue and Lakefarm Retreat at 7.40pm.

The crash meant power was lost to thousands of houses overnight, however it has since been restored to the majority of homes in the area.

The man is believed to be in a critical condition in hospital.

Traffic lights are also blacked out at three intersections in the Scarborough/Doubleview area.

The lights at the intersections of Scarborough Beach Road and Grand Promenade in Doubleview, Scarborough Beach Road and St Brigids Terrace, Doubleview and Scarborough Beach Road andDuke Street, Scarborough, are all blacked out.

Drivers are urged to drive with caution and give way to the right.
