A LOT has changed since this black-and-white photo of Scarborough Beach Road in Osborne Park was taken circa 1975.

As Stirling Times photographer David Baylis’s present-day picture (also taken from near Jugan Street looking west) below shows, the freeway has been built along with the 60m-long pedestrian/cycling bridge, constructed last year as part of the freeway widening project.

If you have similar old photos, send them to the Times and also enter them in the City of Stirling’s History and Heritage Awards.

The biennial awards include a history category focusing on photographs and heritage, which recognises significant houses, streetscapes, parks or ruins.

Nominations for the awards close on February 14; find out more about them here or call 9205 8555 for details.
