Inquiries by police led to a search of bushland in Ashendon today.

During a media briefing this afternoon they revealed that as a result of that search forensic teams are currently processing a grave site where female remains were found.

Police believe the remains are those of Ms Cooper, pending a formal ID.

As part of the investigation, police are searching for a silver Toyota Camry sedan with the plates 1CGT 526, although they believe the plates may have been changed.
