Police call for witnesses to Mettam’s Pool drowning

POLICE are seeking information from people who pulled a drowning man from Mettam’s Pool on Saturday before he died.

About 10.30am, a 35-year-old man who had been snorkelling was pulled from the water by another man who noticed he was in trouble.

Several people assisted the man to shore and provided first aid until emergency services arrived.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital but was not able to be revived. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
