Police Carve Up Christmas Ham Hustlers

Kate LeaverStirling Times

A PAIR of thieves hammed it up over the festive holidays after allegedly attempting to get a cash refund for a stolen Christmas ham.

The duo were arrested while attempting to return the $104 ham on December 30, after stealing it the day before from a Coles supermarket in Scarborough.

The two men of no fixed address demanded a refund for the stolen ham before a store security guard intervened.

Senior Sergeant Glenn Dowding said one of the men became aggressive and assaulted the security guard.
