A NORTH Beach man (83) has been charged with child sexual abuse offences from the 1970s.
Cold Case Serious Crime Squad detectives alleged the man sexually assaulted a girl between January 1973 and December 1976.
The girl was nine years old at the time of the first alleged offence.
The man has been charged with 16 counts of indecently dealing with a girl under 13 years and four counts of unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 13 years.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on February 26.
