Bid to track down witnesses after Perth stabbing

POLICE are trying to identify two drivers who they believe may have information about a Balcatta assault.

As previously reported, a 55-year-old man suffered a stab wound after being robbed and assaulted by a group of men.

The victim was found in his silver Hyundai i30 hatchback at the intersection of Cedric Street and Karrinyup Road in Stirling on Thursday, May 30 at 11.25pm.

Police want to speak to driver of this 4WD in relation to the assault.

Police said shortly before this, the man was standing near his car that was parked near the corner of Fry and Cedric streets when a group of men assaulted him.

They fled after stabbing the man and stealing personal property.

Mirrabooka Detectives want to speak to the drivers of a 4WD travelling on Cedric and Amelia Streets on at about 10.30pm that night and a van travelling on Felton Street between 10.20pm and 11.20pm.

They also want anyone with dash-cam footage of the area around Karrinyup Road and Cedric, Amelia and Felton streets between 10.20pm and 11.20pm on May 30 to come forward.

Police also want to speak to driver of this van.
