THREE attempted burglaries occurred overnight in Osborne Park on August 1 and Scarborough police are calling for witnesses.

At 1.25am an offender smashed the glass door of a Scarborough Beach Road business but after a police search of the premises, nothing appeared to be stolen.

About 4.50am an offender smashed the window of the King and Howe Lunch Bar on King Edward Road.

Senior Sergeant Glenn Dowding said the offender cut himself at the scene and left blood throughout the premises.

“We will be conducting DNA profiles from the blood left at the scene,” he said.

“We will also be following up with CCTV footage.”

The same offender then attempted to break in to Tyre Right on Scarborough Beach Road and left a trail of blood at the premises.

Sgt Dowding said anyone with information should contact Scarborough Police Station on 9441 6400.
