UPDATE: Trigg Beach death not suspicious

UPDATE: Police are not treating the death of a woman at Trigg Beach as suspicious, it was revealed after 1.30pm today (February 19).

The woman, found dead on the beach around 6am this morning, has not been identified and her family have not been advised.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

EARLIER: POLICE are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body at Trigg Beach.

About 6am this morning, a deceased person was located near the beach’s rocks by a member of the public.

Police and forensics officers are currently at the scene and have cordoned off the carpark.

A Channel 9 reporter told 6PR it was too early to tell what exactly had happened.

“Info from police here on the scene is that they are treating this as suspicious,” he said.

“The female’s body was found near the water on the beach.

“There is currently a crime scene here at the moment and there are still a lot of cars here as well in the carpark so… lots of people wondering what is going on.”
