Police on hunt for Inglewood arsonist following fires at two homes

POLICE are searching for an unknown arsonist who set fire to an Inglewood home causing $40,000 worth of damage.

Around 9:10am yesterday, a fire was lit at a Coode Street home and a short time later another fire was lit at a Seventh Avenue home which caused substantial damage to the garage and rear property.

Arson Squad detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 9am and 10am who may have seen a suspicious person or activity.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
