UPDATE: Two-year-old boy found in Churchlands

UPDATE: Police have found two-year-old Richard alive and well.

He was found on Lakeside Drive in Churchlands.

A police spokeswoman said the driver of the car drove home before realising he was in the car. The driver then contacted police.

EARLIER: POLICE are urgently trying to find a two-year-old boy who was accidentally placed in the wrong car this afternoon in Scarborough.

Richard, who also answers to Bubsy, was accidentally placed into a white Mazda 2 sedan this afternoon at 2.45pm outside a Chicken Treat outlet on Doric Street in Scarborough.

The driver of the car – a woman in her 50s wearing dark trousers, a white top and a stone-coloured vest – drove in a westerly direction down Doric Street.

Richard is fair skinned, with brown eyes and was wearing blue and white striped tracksuit pants and a dark blue jumper.

Anyone with information about Richard’s or the female driver’s whereabouts should contact police immediately on 131 444.
