Policy encouraging street activation in Stirling

OUTDOOR dining and street furniture could become more prevalent in the City of Stirling.

The City is seeking feedback on its footpath trading and activation policy, which aims to encourage street activation.

The policy would remove the need for development approval for outdoor dining, street trading, product displays and placement of furniture or decorations on footpaths if they met requirements.

It also identifies where place activation activities can occur and clarify what items are permitted on footpaths.

The policy is available for public comment until May 21 here.
