Scarborough: Police arrest man found hiding in cupboard

POLICE have arrested a man over several burglaries after finding him hiding in the cupboard of a Scarborough home.

Police dog Whiskey helped Scarborough Police officers arrest the 29-year-old Nollamara man on Sunday night.

He broke in through the roof the house on Wilton Place while allegedly fleeing from police.

Thief knocked pensioner unconscious, stole frozen food

Officers apprehended the man while he was hiding on a shelf in an open cupboard inside the home.

He was charged with 23 offences including aggravated home burglary, stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated assault and criminal damage.

The man was remanded in custody and will face Perth Magistrates Court via video link from prison on April 23.
