Scarborough: popular Health Freak Cafe to reopen

Scarborough: popular Health Freak Cafe to reopen

UPDATE, February 26: The café posted on its Facebook page just after 9am that its opening had been rescheduled.

A spokeswoman said they had to “urgently postpone” the reopening to February 27.

EARLIER: A POPULAR healthy cafe chain is reopening in Scarborough on Monday.

Health Freak Cafe is opening at the Ramada VetroBlu Scarborough Beach hotel on Scarborough Beach Road, after moving from its beachfront location late last year.

A spokeswoman said the previous cafe was small, had poor lighting and often affected by wind.

“We decided to relocate to a newer, larger and more spacious premise with 70 seats overlooking Scarborough Beach,” she said.

The venue offers space for children and an acai bar, as well as more parking for diners.

It will be offering free coffee and breakfast to celebrate the opening and operate from 6am to 9pm daily.
