BETHANIE Joondanna celebrated their volunteers with a special breakfast on Wednesday.
The non-profit aged care and retirement living providers honoured their volunteers with activities that focussed on the power of volunteering, service and leadership.
With a group of more than 55 volunteers, Bethanie Joondanna receives help across a variety of areas including visits to residents, playing the piano, organising events and activities, bus driving, teaching iPad skills, playing pool and darts with residents and listening to stories.
Bethanie Corporate Outreach program manager, Laurette LeCras said the organisation understood the importance of volunteers and that the upcoming activities were a way of honouring their service to the community.
“At Bethanie we have over 600 volunteers currently working with us,” she said.
“Each one is an integral part of our team and plays a central role to the provision of the high quality care we pride ourselves on at Bethanie.
