ST Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School students will take to the stage this week to perform the musical, Oliver!, the classic tale of an innocent orphan living amongst double-dealing thieves in Victorian London.
Year 11 student Anne Jovanoski, will perform the lead role of Oliver and the stage will be filled with familiar songs including: You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two, Consider Yourself and Where is Love?.
St Mary’s head of drama and dance Kathryn Shaw, who directed the show, said the production was a combination of workhouse cheek, old-fashioned camaraderie and suspense.
