CITY of Stirling chief executive Stuart Jardine has been awarded a Public Service Medal for his commitment to the local government sector in this year’s Australia Day honours list.
Mr Jardine’s 20-year career in local government began at the City of Gosnells in 1997 as strategic planning director. He was promoted to chief executive in 2001. Mr Jardine continued his passion for local government community service with his appointment as chief executive at the City of Stirling in 2007.
Mr Jardine said he was “chuffed” to receive the award.

Stirling Mayor Giovanni Italiano said Mr Jardine provided outstanding service to the communities he had served and worked tirelessly for the best results.
