Stirling councillor joins advisory panel on Scarborough redevelopment

STIRLING coastal ward councillor Mark Irwin will represent the City of Stirling on the $75.4 million Scarborough redevelopment advisory panel.

The nine-member group, chaired by North Metropolitan Region MLC Liz Behjat, will be formed to “represent all sections of the local community”, according to Planning Minister Donna Faragher.

Nominations for the group, which will include a Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) representative, closed on July 1.

The council report said the Scarborough Redevelopment Community Advisory Group (SRCAG) would provide feedback to further inform the State Government’s decision-making processes.

“The SRCAG will provide feedback to the MRA on the design and planning of the proposed road extensions in the Scarborough Master Plan,” the report said.

The group will consist of nine members including chair (Liz Behjat), local government representative (Mark Irwin), one Scarborough land redevelopment committee representative and six community representatives.
