Stirling invites feedback on holiday rental proposal

THE City of Stirling is seeking feedback on plans for a Doubleview holiday rental.

The owner of the Grand Promenade townhouse has applied for approval to operate the property as short stay accommodation.

They plan to rent out the entire three-bedroom, two-bathroom home via online holiday rental websites.

Stirling tightens parking for holiday rentals

Council adopted a short stay accommodation policy last July in an effort to control the practice following the popularity of sites such as Airbnb.

The policy is awaiting State Government approval.

Changes to keep pace with websites

There are several hundred homes within the City advertised as holiday rentals.

Comment on the application closes on July 1.
