Student exhibition a treat for art lovers

Now in its 11th year, the exhibition showcases art from students and community members, and will feature award-winning guest artist Kim Maple, who has been exhibiting for almost 30 years.

Ms Maple will display some of her recent landscape paintings as well as her new body of work that she has painted exclusively for the exhibition.

Art lovers will be able to observe art from diverse media and practices, including painting, photography, collage, ceramics, glasswork, textiles, jewellery and 3D works.

Year 10 student Leon Abraham, whose talent is in lino print and painting, said it was his first time exhibiting his work.

I am a little nervous but I am looking forward to it, he said.
