Students were required to donate a pair of new socks to support Vinnies to help homeless youth as well as walk or run around Star Swamp in North Beach.

Joining the students were Perth Glory players and X Factor contestant Sydnee Carter who also showed their support for the cause.

St Vincent de Paul Society project manager Niall Rhatigan said he was grateful for the support of the schools.

‘Vinnies helps many young people who are doing it tough,’ he said.
