Tom RabeStirling Times

THE Telethon Type 1 Diabetes Centre officially opened last Thursday, marking a significant step forward in Type 1 treatment for West Australians.

The Osborne Park facility will provide peer and psychosocial support, information and education as well as opportunities for the type 1 community to connect.

Centre general manager Rebecca Johnson said the opening was a success.

"It was a wonderful celebration and an opportunity to particularly thank our major supporters in the State Government, Telethon and Lotterywest," Ms Johnson said.
