The development will be spread over three multi-storey towers comprising 100 units each with amenities including a health club and swimming pool.
The apartment blocks will be between Chesterfield Road and the Mirrabooka bus station, bounded by Yirrigan Drive to the south.
A transport assessment update was published last month, highlighting the development�s close proximity to the bus port and the deferred MAX Light Rail station.
The development will be constructed in three stages, beginning with the subdivision of land, followed by the proposed demolition of the existing Tavern and TAB.
A City of Stirling responsible authority report recommended the Joint North West Development Assessment Panel approve the proposal subject to 60 conditions, including increased visitor parking.
�The proposal is considered to be consistent with the current statutory framework for the precinct and the future planning for the Mirrabooka Town Centre,� the report said.
Mirrabooka MLA Janine Freeman welcomed the development but said the Town Centre would be improved if serviced by light rail.
�It will modernise the area, bringing welcome high quality development that will have many features for people wanting to live in and contribute to a vibrant Mirrabooka town centre,� Ms Freeman said.
�While a rapid transport system is optimal and the State Government should honour its commitment to the people of the area and deliver MAX light rail, the public transport infrastructure, in bus services, is still an asset in the town centre and will service the new residents well.�
Stirling Planning director Ross Povey said the City had no construction start date.
