TRIGG firefighter Luke Robins has bared his body to raise money for children suffering from serious burns.

He is featured in the annual Perth Firefighters Calendar next year as Mr July and said it was a great opportunity to support Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation’s burns unit.

Mr Robins also had a personal reason for getting involved.

“The calendar is a great cause; one of my good mates suffered serious burns to his legs as a kid and I’ve seen the impact it’s had on him, which makes the cause really resonate with me,” he said.

“It’s a fantastic effort from everyone involved and I’m stoked to see the brigade and many of my close mates giving their support for this very meaningful fun fundraiser.”

Kira Tremain, of Scarborough, is also featured in the calendar and wanted to do her bit to help.

“The reason I decided to do the calendar was to help those children less fortunate, they are so innocent and what some of them have to endure really isn’t fair at such a young age,” she said.

“I spent a fair bit of time in PMH when I was eight years old – not in the burns unit but I still found the hospital a scary place as a child, so I thought what better way to help such a great cause than by taking part in this fun fundraiser.”
