Born in Ireland, Ms Wright said she has called Perth home since 1987.
“I studied art at high school and Perth Tafe School of Art,” she said.
“The blue skies of Perth and the vividness and clarity of colours have a big influence on my work.
“I love the ever-changing ocean and the disorder of the natural bush.”
Ms Wright’s paintings will be the centrepiece of this year’s Trigg Art Group exhibition.
“My most recent work is acrylics; I include fabric, thread, stones or sand to create texture,” Ms Wright said.
“My style is always evolving and always will. All my work is individual and unique to me.”
Organiser Jenny Ellis-Newman said the exhibition would run until May 1, with all profits donated to Trigg Island Surf Lifesaving Club.
Opening night this Friday is open to all from 7pm at Trigg Island SLS clubrooms, with light snacks and refreshments provided.
