POLICE are calling for information about the murder of a Perth DJ and event promoter.

Jamie Fernandez, 41, was found dead in his North Beach Drive, Tuart Hill, unit last Tuesday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Gorton said Mr Fernandez was found with “significant” injuries.

“It’s believed Mr Fernandez died sometime between 10am on Saturday the 16th of July and 8am on Sunday the 17th of July,” Detective Senior Sergeant Gorton said.

“It is being treated as a homicide.”

Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the North Beach Drive units over the weekend of the 16-17 July.

“It appears that he has a fairly wide network of associates, and obviously we’re seeking information from the public in relation to his movements prior,” Detective Senior Sergeant Gorton said.

Mr Fernandes’ parents have been told of their son’s death and were en route to Perth from Chile.
