PERTH rockers The Younglings are not yet teenagers but are about to launch their debut album.

The quartet, who are aged from nine to 12, will be playing Scarborough’s The Indi Bar on May 4.

The Younglings formed at Holy Spirit Primary School in City Beach in 2017 and have since performed at the Nannup Music Festival and Splashfest.

The band comprises City Beach’s Jade Arnold-Eyers (10), Xavier and Dominic Jeffery (12 and 9) from Wembley Downs, and Oliver de Lestang (12), of Mt Claremont.

Between them, they play keyboards, drums, violin, bass and guitar.

Peter Renzullo from Scudley Records recorded the debut album OB1234 and said it was the youngest professional band he had in the studio.

“But you wouldn’t know it by their ability,” he said.

“Very confident, focused and well rehearsed – they were a joy to record.”
