STUDENTS from Wembley Downs Primary School joined children across Australia in marking National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday.

The annual event aims to raise awareness of the health, road safety, transport and environmental benefits that regular walking, especially to and from school, can provide for children’s long-term wellbeing.

Principal Lincoln Day said the initiative was a great fit for the school.
