West Balcatta PS celebrates diversity on Harmony Day

PEOPLE from all cultural backgrounds are celebrated at West Balcatta Primary School.

The school was one of many across Perth to celebrate Harmony Day on March 21.

Students and staff wore orange on the day and in classrooms children discussed the notions of harmony and inclusiveness and what it meant to them.

Deputy principal Andrew Knight said the spirit of inclusiveness and diversity was in full swing.

“The school embraces families from many cultural backgrounds, which is something celebrated every day at our school,” he said.
