Woman injured after police chase allegedly stolen car

A POLICE chase through Osborne Park last night, involving an allegedly stolen car, has left a woman and the driver with injuries.

At about 9:20pm last night Mirrabooka Detectives saw a grey Mazda on Cape Street .

Police attempted to stop the vehicle but it immediately sped away, turning into the Mitchell Freeway South on-ramp and colliding with a 59-year-old woman’s Holden sedan.

She was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital as a precaution with minor injuries.

Police arrested the driver of the Mazda, a 36-year-old Armadale man, who was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The man from Armadale has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failing to stop for police and possessing unlawfully obtained property.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
